The return of normalcy
Not much exciting news to report today. It seems even in England boring and mundane days can happen. I finished a whole bunch of laundry, so that's always good. :)
I do have one interesting link to pass on for those who might be interested in some new historical discoveries. It seems a team of archaeologists have discoved a medieval/early modern graveyard at a planned site for a new shopping center...hmmm...I wonder if they are still going to build the shopping center...will they leave the bodies there?....eeek...I hope they've seen Poltergeist.
Thanks to the lovely Colleen for sending me the link!

The good thing is that the discovery has gotten a lot of press, which means that the public will probably speak out for the site's historical importance.
Kind of a boring day here in PDX too, but sunny!
Thanks for giving me something to read during breaks at work, Tiff~
Shades of Motown and Rt 705 and 2004 when the university was about to sign over 10 plus acres to the Wallmart Co. amidst loud cries from private neighborhoods demanding "NO SUPER STORE AND SAMS CLUB WILL BE BUILT HERE."And then along came an archeologist who said this was an native american burial ground and the deal fell thru. from Beverly
gma (I tried to write "Bev", but I just couldn't) - Did the Anthro/Arch dept at WVU put together an excavation team for the site? That would seem like it would have been a great learning opportunity for the archaeology students.
